Sweet 1/144 Ki-43-I “Falcon” – Finished
This is a small build of the Sweet 1/144 Ki-43-I “Falcon”. This is the 2nd kit that Sweet released of the plane, featuring the decals of the 11th Hiko Sentai – Scalemates page of the kit. I got this kit as a gift from a good friend in Japan back when it wasn’t even released for which I am very thankful for.
Generally, I am extremely happy with how I built this kit. I had a few minor setbacks (with the choice of paints as anyone who researched Japanese kits knows, it’s impossible to find the correct shade), but what is a model without you messing something up? The kit itself is an absolute joy to build and I am happy I got a chance to build it. It is definitely recommended to everyone as it basically builds itself without any issues at all
The decals are of very good quality and conform well to decaling solutions and you get a cool camo along with it.

The model was airbrushed with IJA #21 Midori-Iro from AK interactive and the lines are a mix that is /supposed/ to represent #33 Khaki Iro. They are also hand-brushed, which I think I did a decent enough job of doing.
The rainbowy lines on the tail are actually for the flight commander and aren’t 100% representative of this camo scheme, but I loved them so much, I really couldn’t resist putting them on

The rigging was done using the Uschi Standard line and I won’t lie, it did take a few tries.
